This is the only J.Lo scent i own. I tried it in a department store on a whim, thinking it wouldn't be great - but i was instantly captivated. It smells like the sexiest girl in the club and also has a sweet, edible base scent that reminded me of Mugler's Angel - which i love. Unfotunately, the bottle is kind of tackly - all mirrored and curvy - but i don't buy scents based on their bottles.

The face for the Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme commercial will be James Franco, and it will be directed by Jan Wentz. TV commercial was taped in black and white. The actor James Franco, in James Dean style passes through an apartment saying lyrics of the famous song by Bryan Ferry-a "Slave to Love" to his girlfriend. The recording session of this commercial was accompanied by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, who made photographs for the new perfume.

It was on this month, a year ago, that amirperfume started it's blog journey. It's been an honour and a pleasure blogging with you all. Blogging has made me find out a lot about a lots of things, related to perfume, friends, customers and the internet blogging as well.

27Nov 2007 - Finally, I have the privilege to use this product today. Not only it smells so good, it’s also inspired me to have a very good day. I've been using Romance, romance silver, Boss in-motion & polo black on my collection list, and this one will surely to be added soon. Maybe I am a big fan of Ralph Lauren products, from cloths to men fragrance, but this product is good, really really good.... and I'm sure this product is going to make a huge impact on man fragrance market, soon. How to describe this product from my point of view - after a while, it smell like a combination of Romance silver & Polo Black. If I have to put it in one sentence, it will be - smell like a teen spirit!!

Q. I have several favourites perfumes. Can I mix the different perfumes together?
A. It is possible to do so with single note perfumes - like mixing a vanilla fragrance with a peach one or verbena and lemon. Perfumes in perfumery shops are made with at least 50 different ingredients. Some perfumes’ compositions can be made up of 200 different smells. Mixing two different Eau de Toilettes, for example, gives a very bad olfactory result. Every perfume is an individual artistic olfactory creation as each perfume expresses different sensations, different stories. Mixing two fragrances will be like reading two books simultaneously - you’ll lose the uniqueness of each perfume.

Q. Can I wear the same perfume to work and to the beach?
A. Fragrances can have different smells when we wear them outdoors as we are exposed to different climate conditions and activity. When we go to the beach or engage in a sport, we perspire. Our skin comes in contact with different elements (sand, salty water, salty winds) than when we are indoors or in an urban environment. When we perspire more the perfumes that we wear on a day-to-day basis becomes more over-powering than usual and this can often lead to headaches. That is why some specific products have been developed to be worn on the beach or during hot seasons and they are usually categorised as ”summer fragrances”.

Q. Will storing perfume in the fridge help to retain the scent longer?
A. The best way to keep perfumes is to protect it from direct light and high temperatures. People usually keep their perfumes in the bathroom but that is in fact the worst place (frequent change of temperature, high humidity). Dark, dry and cool places is ideal and proper storage will definitely will preserve its perfect quality.

Q. I frequently lose the cap of my perfume bottles. Is it OK to leave it uncapped?
A. What alters a scent is its prolonged contact with air. If your bottle is a spray, there is no risk as the bottle is hermatically sealed. If your perfume is in a bottle and you lose the cap, you should immediately decant the perfume into another bottle which can be sealed, or into a clean refillable spray bottle.

Q. what’s the trend for fragrances right now?
A. Since its creation, perfume’s history has been intimately linked to the social evolution of humans. First religious, then to mask odours, and these days perfumes tends to speak as one’s personal signature. Currently, the trend veers towards fresh and clean scents.

Q. Are Eau de Perfumes (EDP) too heavy for day use?
A. Perfume exists in different concentrations (quantity of pure perfume extract in a bottle). It is important to note that most perfumers tend to create different sensations between an Eau de Toilette and an Eau de Parfum despite it being from the same range. For example, in the L’ Eau D’Issey line, the Eau de Toilette has a fresh floral aquatic harmony with a woody trail, while the Eau de Parfum contains a sensual floral aquatic note with a woody trail. So to answer the question, the use of an Eau de Toilette or Eau de Parfum is guided by our personal preference for stronger or lighter sensations.

Q. Why does the same perfume smell different on people?
A. Every human being is different and a perfume will evaporate differently on different skins as it links to individual skin pH (or potential of hydrogen). Lower pH values mean the solution is acidic and higher values indicates greater alkalinity. Skin’s pH value is determined by the moisture on the skin and is around 6.5. But other factors such as food habits, stress, lack of sleep or medical treatment can also have an effect on a fragrance’s smell as they tend to alter the natural skin pH.

Q. what do I do with perfume that’s past its expiry date or too old ?
A. Expiry dates don’t really exist for perfumes if they are kept in optimal condition (dry, cool place, protected from direct light and kept inside their original packaging). But after opening, I’d recommend to use it in the first three to four months to fully enjoy it. After being in prolonged contact with air (perfume in a bottle or with natural spray) the scent is usually altered as a result of oxidation. is it OK to spray perfume directly on clothes? All fragrances can be sprayed on clothes. But a few basic rules have to be respected: spray from a good distance (20 to 30 centimeters) in order to avoid stains on the fabric. Beware of coloured perfumes on white/clear colored clothes. Protect jewels and pearls from the perfume’s spray as the perfume’s ingredients can damage or stain. Using perfume on clothes is a great technique to improve the trail of your favourite perfume. For example, do not hesitate to spray shirts or the inner lining of a jacket.
